 A Cooking Class with unique flavour!!

Join us for a culinary experience utilising fresh local seasonal produce from Hobart’s own Farm Gate Market.

Our morning begins with a market forage where we source all our fresh seasonal ingredients for our cooking class. There is no set menu, we decide on the day depending what we find fresh on the day! There we will meet with local producers and learn about their wares whilst enjoying the ambience of the market.  Produce in hand we will return to the kitchen to learn how it can best be showcased with some delicious recipe’s from the “Modern Tasmanian” tradition.  To follow we will sit down to a 3 course shared table lunch to enjoy the morning’s creations, paired with wines from the Bottega Rotolo cellar.

We will be running tours once a month or by appointment.

Price:  $150 pp. includes guided market visit, cooking class, lunch with wine, recipes and apron to take home. Full payment must be made to confirm your place.

And for the green thumb, we can only delight – from native plants to fruit trees, unusual herbs to edible flowers and fertilizers to help them grow.

Buskers provide atmosphere and entertainment and there’s plenty to devour onsite with delicious seasonal soups, gourmet burgers and sushi all made to order. With ingredients supplied by producers menus change with the seasons.

Farm Gate Market is Hobart’s Sunday morning hotspot to meet friends for a coffee and breakfast, read the weekend papers or just enjoy the buzz and friendly atmosphere of the largest farmers’ market in Tasmania.
